Literature Circle Projects

A few of our Literature Circles finished up this week.  To show their understanding of the novel they read, groups completed Google Slides over their selected novel.  These groups read Freckle Juice and The Absent Author. They really enjoyed Google Slides, and they were able to be creative and show their knowledge through the slides that were created. We will start a new round of Literature Circles after Christmas Break!

Synonym Thinglink

During stations last week, we worked on synonyms. We looked through a variety of words and created synonym pairs.  Students thought of an image to represent their synonym pair and learned how to screenshot an image.  We then used the app Phonto to upload our image and add text.  Check out our Phontos on our Thinglink page!

Going on a Noun Hunt...

We have been learning all about nouns this past week. One of the things we did to learn about nouns was going on a noun scavenger hunt. We walked though the halls of Ireland looking for all things that had to do with a person, place, or thing. We did a fantastic job with our nouns!

Starlab

We went to the Starlab today. We reviewed many of the objectives that we learned during our sun, moon, and planets unit.

D.A.R.E.

We had our last D.A.R.E. class today. Through D.A.R.E., we learned about bullying, making positive decisions, being a leader, and many more life skills that we will use on a daily basis. Thank you, Officer Knies for teaching us!
